We ask ourselves: what can we do that will make the most difference?

Reducing our company’s net environmental impact is a huge goal — enormous in its ambitiousness, in its potential effect on our world and in the sheer scale of its undertaking. Achieving it requires multiple complementary strategies; for example, providing customers with tools they can use to reduce their own environmental footprint.
Research we conducted in 2007 illuminated two strategies in particular that would be important to our stakeholders and also beneficial to our business in a potentially substantial way:
  • Making our wireless devices more environmentally responsible
  • Reducing the environmental impact of our packaging
Focusing on these goals requires commitment not only from Sprint, but also from many vendors, manufacturers and other partners. And it is paying off. In fact, it’s already yielding far-reaching positive change throughout the wireless industry.
