One of the core principles of Corporate Responsibility is transparency – the open and honest disclosure of corporate activities that are of interest to stakeholders.
As part of Sprint’s transparency initiatives, we publicly report on a range of topics, including our our political contributions and how we comply with governmental requests for customer information.
Our investors have requested greater disclosure regarding our political contributions and the process and oversight used in connection with our advocacy. To that end, we report the corporate political contributions made by Sprint during each year.
Sprint makes political contributions to organizations and candidates for state offices where permitted by law. All contributions made by Sprint must be approved in advance by the Sprint Government Affairs group, which is a part of our legal department. On an annual basis, we report our corporate political contributions to the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Protecting our customers’ information and being a good corporate citizen are part of the understanding we have with our customers. From time to time, we are required by law, like all companies, to provide information to law enforcement agencies and governments. We ensure that all requests are valid and lawful before we comply. Our transparency report explains the process we follow and what we report.
